Feb 2015 :: A group of climbers travel to the remote island of Ua Pou in the French Polynesia to climb a new route up the iconic tower, "Poumaka." After hacking through the jungle for 4 days and establishing a base-camp at the base of the tower, we climbed for 16 days lead by National Geographic Explorer, Mike Libecki. In basically the worst conditions possible we summit the 3,000 foot tower at night during an tropical storm. A trip I'll never forget and never pass up.
